Travelogue

  • Three days of being taken care of with perfect service

This time I came to Shanghai for a business trip and also visited an exhibition on the way, and I settled at JI Hotel (Shanghai Jumen Road). The most profound feeling after three days of staying here is that the service here is not rigid and polite, but proactive and considerate hidden in every detail, completely dispelling most of the fatigue of travel.
As soon as I dragged my suitcase to the hotel entrance, the staff at the gate quickly stepped forward and took my luggage. Before I could ask, they proactively informed me that the room I had booked in advance had been pre arranged. They also reminded me that there were temporary traffic controls in Huangpu District today. To go to the nearby World Expo Exhibition Center, take the pedestrian path on the hotel's side door, which can avoid congested roads and is 5 minutes faster than the recommended main road by navigation. The entire check-in process took less than 3 minutes. The front desk not only handed over the room card with both hands, but also included a small packet of local mint candies, reminding me that the temperature in Shanghai has dropped sharply recently. The room has already turned on the heating in advance, fearing that I might catch a cold when I just came in from outside.
Not long after entering the room and putting down the luggage, a staff member called to inquire if the room temperature was appropriate and if there were any other areas that needed to be adjusted. I casually mentioned that I was going to see an exhibition nearby in the afternoon, but I might come back later. Within half an hour, the front desk proactively sent me a list of 24-hour convenience stores and late night canteens in the surrounding area. They also marked the safe night route from the exhibition hall to the hotel, and even marked the street lights along the way for me. When I returned to the hotel after watching the exhibition late at night, the front desk staff recognized me at a glance and handed me a cup of warm barley tea. They said they saw from my previous registration information that my stomach was not very good, and specially prepared a warm drink for me, afraid that I would feel uncomfortable if I drank it cold.
The hotel's robot service is also particularly considerate. As soon as the takeout I ordered was delivered to the front desk, the robot called me proactively and informed me that the food was on its way to delivery. When I reached the door of the room, it would softly remind me to open the door. The next day I had to catch an early flight. I specifically told the front desk that I needed to pack a breakfast in advance. When I arrived at the front desk the next morning, the bag not only contained hot steamed buns, eggs and soybean milk, but also a small box of cut fruit and a bottle of normal temperature mineral water. The staff said that they were afraid that I would be hungry on the way to catch the plane, so they prepared a little more. I accidentally got a coffee stain on a white shirt. When I took it to the self-service laundry room, the cleaning lady saw it and took the initiative to help me use a special stain remover. When I came back to pick it up after finishing my work, the shirt had already been washed clean and ironed neatly, folded neatly and placed in a bag.
On the day I left, I had a lot of luggage. The front desk not only helped me deliver my luggage to the door, but also called for a car in advance and confirmed the destination with the driver, afraid that I would stand on the roadside waiting for the car to catch a cold while dragging my luggage. After three days of staying in the hotel, I didn't encounter any service excuses or perfunctory processes. Every staff member was able to remember the small details of the guests and provide service before they even spoke. In the core area of Huangpu, I have come across a hotel that provides excellent service. Next time I come to Shanghai, I will definitely choose JI Hotel (Shanghai Jumen Road) as the first choice.Show more

  • Find a cost-effective place to settle in the core area of Huangpu

This time I came to Shanghai Ninth Hospital for a follow-up visit and specifically chose JI Hotel (Shanghai Jumen Road). After staying there, I realized that this all season hotel, located in the core area of Huangpu District, balances "convenience" and "comfort" perfectly, making it a cost-effective first choice for medical treatment and exploring the old city.
The hotel is located at 541 Jumen Road, at the intersection of Quxi Road. It is 720 meters away from Luban Road Subway Station and 490 meters away from World Expo Museum Subway Station, and can be reached by walking for seven or eight minutes. I dragged my suitcase out of the subway station and walked along Jumen Road. Along the way, there were quiet old Shanghai streets and alleys, without the noise of the bustling city. I turned a corner and arrived at the hotel entrance, without having to take a detour to find a spot. When checking in, the front desk staff was very quick and even reminded me to take a shortcut to the Ninth Hospital on foot. They said that it would take less than ten minutes to get there by taking this small alley, and there was no need to wait for traffic lights on the main road. The next day, they personally tested it and found that it saved nearly three minutes compared to the route recommended by the navigation. Those who rushed to the early number will really be impressed by this thoughtfulness.
The room still maintains the consistent Eastern minimalist style throughout the season, without any unnecessary fancy decorations. Warm toned wooden furniture paired with soft lighting makes it feel relaxed as soon as you enter. The whole house is well maintained in terms of hygiene, with fluffy and clean bedding, thorough separation of dry and wet areas in the bathroom, and fast and stable hot water output. Even if you come back late in winter, you can quickly take a comfortable hot shower. The most surprising thing is the fresh air system in the room, which can maintain air circulation even without opening windows, without any stuffiness. I live in a room facing the street, with double layered glass that completely isolates the sound of traffic outside. I sleep soundly at night without being disturbed by noise.
The hotel's supporting details are all tailored for business travelers and medical patients. The 24-hour self-service laundry room has a drying function. After the consultation, you can wash the clothes you have changed and pack them dry and take them away the next day without having to bring a lot of laundry. Robot food delivery service is particularly convenient. If you don't want to go downstairs to pick up takeout, the robot will directly deliver the food to the door of the room without having to make a special trip. The category of buffet breakfast gives consideration to both northern and southern tastes. The freshly cooked small Wonton and noodles are delicious, and there are all kinds of Congee dishes and steamed stuffed buns Dim sum. It's too late to eat in the restaurant in the morning. You can also ask for a simple breakfast bag from the front desk, so you can eat them on the way, without delaying the journey.
The surrounding fireworks are even more surprising. There are convenience stores, local restaurants, and pan fried shops just a few steps downstairs from the hotel. If you're hungry in the middle of the night, you can buy a hot supper downstairs. Walk south along Jumen Road and soon you will arrive at the trail by the Huangpu River. After the consultation, take a walk along the river in the afternoon, blowing the wind of the Huangpu River, and most of your fatigue will dissipate. Go to the Bund, Xintiandi and other scenic spots, and you can take a few subway stations directly, without spending a lot of time commuting.
As a mid-range hotel located in the core area of Huangpu, JI Hotel (Shanghai Jumen Road) does not have inflated premiums, but provides a comfortable and worry free place for people who come to Shanghai for medical treatment and explore the old city with solid services, clean environment, and irreplaceable geographical location. Next time I come to Shanghai, I will definitely give priority to this place.Show more
